Coming from I-64 (Charleston): 51.2 miles

  • Take I-64 West towards Huntington
  • Take WV-10 Exit, Exit 11, toward Hal Greer Blvd/Downtown
  • Merge onto WV-10 toward Marshall University/Civic Center
  • Turn Left onto 4th Avenue (Marshall University Old Main Building will be on your right as you turn.)
  • Go Approximately 6.5 Blocks down 4th Avenue and the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center will be on your Left.

Coming from I-64 (Ashland): 15.3 miles

  • Start out going northeast on 13th St/US-60 E toward Montgomery Ave. Continue to follow 13th St (Crossing into Ohio).
  • Merge onto US-52 E.
    • If you reach US-52 W, you’ve gone a little too far.
  • Take OH-7/Chesapeake Bypass toward Chesapeake.
  • Merge onto OH-7/Chesapeake Bypass toward Huntington.
  • Stay straight to go onto OH-527/State Route 527. Continue to follow State Route 527 (Crossing into West Virginia).
  • State Route 527 becomes 5th St/WV-527.
  • Turn left onto 4th Ave.
    • If you reach 5th Ave. you’ve gone a little too far.
  • Keith Albee Performing Arts Center, 925 4th Ave, Huntington, WV, is on the right.
    • Your destination is just past 9th St. If you reach 10th St you’ve gone a little too far.

PARKING

There are different locations for parking around the venue, but there is no direct parking
for the venue.

  • Beside the theatre there is a small privately owned parking lot, but it fills up quickly. 
  • There is accessible meter parking around the theatre. 
  • There is a metered parking lot located on 4th Avenue between 10th Street and 11th Street. There are accessible spaces available.
  • There are three public parking garages located around the theatre. All garages are accessible and include elevator access. Access to the theatre via sidewalks is accessible and provided by the City of Huntington. 
  • Garages are located on 3rd Avenue between 9th Street and 10th Street. This is on the Avenue over from the theatre.
  • Garage is also located on 3rd Avenue between 8th Street and 7th Street.

Accessibility

Accessible Passenger Drop-Off/Pick-Up Zone

In front of the main lobby doors of the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center is a passenger drop-off/pick-up zone. All patrons are welcome to utilize this space. The area is very limited so there is not permanent street parking in this area. There is a wheelchair-friendly sidewalk entrance, and there are space and chairs available inside the lobby for patrons waiting on party members for entry into the theatre.

Accessible Parking

Accessible Entrances

The main entrance to the theatre is stairs free. There is only one main entrance to the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center and that is located on 4th Avenue. All emergency exits on the orchestra level are accessible by all patrons and are accessible. Patrons will be directed to those exits in case of emergency. It is important to note  that there is no elevator inside the theatre to reach  the mezzanine or balcony seating.

Patrons with Service Animals

If you or someone in your party plans to attend an event with a service animal, please notify box office personnel when purchasing your tickets so that we may make every effort to arrange for seats that can accommodate you and your service animal. Service animals are generally dogs that are individually trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities, including physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or mental disabilities.

Service animals may perform tasks such as guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling wheelchairs, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, or helping persons with psychiatric and neurological disabilities by preventing or interrupting impulsive or destructive behaviors.

Accessible Seating

The Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center is a performing arts rental venue. Accessible seating purchase policy is typically left up to the presenting organization but is always available to patrons. For exact information for individual performances, please contact the presenting organization. However, the typical accessible seating protocol is as follows:

Wheelchair and scooter accessible seating may be purchased by phone, in person, or online. Marshall Artists Series events are available on Ticketmaster. For personal assistance selecting accessible seats or for more information about accessibility, please contact the staff at our partner organization, the 

Marshall Artists Series at 304.696.3326, who will be happy to assist you over the phone or direct you to the box office of the presenting organization. Their box office hours are Monday-Friday, 12 noon-4 pm.

If you have a cane or walker, we encourage you to contact the Box Office for recommendations on seating for events.

Health & Safety

The Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center closely monitors local, state, and federal COVID-19 guidelines and consults with medical experts to adjust its health and safety policies as needed. We are still the same Keith-Albee, but with new enhancements to create a safe and healthy theatre experience!

In accordance with best practices developed by the performing arts industry nationwide, we have developed a series of guidelines to ensure your experience at Keith-Albee will be safe and healthy. We thank you for your patience and cooperation in making each event enjoyable for all patrons!

Guidelines are subject to change at any time, and some artists may require more stringent measures for their shows.

Current Guidelines

  • Face coverings: As of March 1, Keith-Albee will no longer require patrons to wear masks, but you are strongly encouraged to do so during your visit.
  • Handwashing: All patrons are urged to wash their hands and to use hand sanitizer stations located in the theatre lobbies.
  • Health screening: If you are unwell, please stay home and contact the box office in advance.

Please note that an inherent risk of COVID-19 exposure exists wherever people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. Our policies are intended to ensure everyone at the Keith-Albee stays healthy and safe, but they do not guarantee protection against COVID-19. Audience members assume their own risk when they enter the theatre. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 conditions and review our policies and the recommendations of health experts to ensure performances and other events held at the Keith-Albee are held in accordance with best practices.

Lost & Found

If you have misplaced something at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center, please call 304.696.3326. The staff at our partner organization, the Marshall Artists Series, will be happy to assist you in retrieving your missing item. Their business hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm. 

Restrooms

There are three locations for restrooms at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center.

On the Orchestra Level

  • There are Men’s and Women’s Lounges located on the Orchestra Level (floor) of the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center. There are stairs to gain access to each of those restrooms. 
  • There is also a Family/ADA compliant restroom located on the Orchestra Level on the left hand side of the theatre.

On the Mezzanine (Balcony)

  • There are Men’s and Women’s restrooms located on the Mezzanine of the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center.

Elevators

There is currently no elevator to the Balcony of the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center. There are two sets of stairs to gain access to those seats. Seats are available on the Orchestra Level for those with disabilities or injuries.
